Welcome to our “Wilderness Survival” camporee we have been working hard to make this happen. This adventure is at Badin Lake Group Campground 120 Kings Mountain Road Badin  NC 28127. We are a non profit organization, Summit Adventure Inc. run by volunteers.

Who can attend  Scouting America , Trail Life, 4-H youth and adults have background check from their program,  required.                     



Registration

Registration will be available online through the SummitAdventure.org
Registration closes Nov 6 2025  at midnight.

We will do our best to provide a quality experience based on the pre-registered numbers.

Campsite assignments will be made based upon the registrants at time of registration close and communicated to the groups the week of the event.
 

Fees
The cost for each participant, adult or youth, will be $15. This fee DOES NOT cover meals; you are responsible for handling all your own meals and food.  Fees cover expenses such as insurance, site fees, program supply costs, and a collectible patch.

Signed Waiver, Release, and Hold Harmless Agreement
**Signature required for all participants under 18 by their Parent/Guardian 

Youth and adult 18+ without a signature cannot participate and must return home !!!!!! Required by our insurance!

NO REFUNDS
We make every effort to ensure there are enough supplies For this reason, we cannot offer refunds.

WHAT NOT TO BRING TO CAMP: Alcohol, firearms, guns, ammunition, fireworks, illegal drugs, pets, scooters, skates, skateboards, and valuables, dipping and vaping, no smoking or tobacco use!

Code of Conduct 

  • Participation in this camporee requires a few rules:
  • Youth Protection no-one-on-one with Adult  
  • Leave-No-Trace Ethics  
  • Fire Safety, 
  • Follow applicable laws and restrictions. Use of open flames may be restricted based on local or state-wide weather restrictions. 
  • Use of tobacco products/ vaping within view of youth is prohibited by Summit Adventure Inc. Adults needing to partake should retire away from the camping area. 
  • Failure to comply with these rules may result in the individual/group being asked to leave the camporee event. 


Arrival, Parking, and Equipment 

  • Upon arrival go to site A, you will be directed to your assigned campsite.  
  • Please note that the Campground does not have extra fire pits for the area we are camping.


Talent Release Form 

I hereby assign and grant “Summit Adventure Inc” the right and permission to use and publish the photographs/film/videotapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings made of me when I sign up and I hereby release the “Summit Adventure Inc” from any and all liability from such use and publication.

I hereby authorize the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage and/or distribution of said photographs / film/ videotapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation at the discretion of the “Summit Adventure Inc” and I specifically waive any right to any compensation I may have for any of the foregoing.

Check-In 

Since everyone may have various scheduling constraints, you may check in on Friday evening or Saturday morning. Upon arrival at the camporee site, you must check-in at the entrance of the main camp area site A.

Friday Night

At 8:00 pm, site A.  At this time, you will receive pertinent and vital information for the weekend’s events . Special bulletins regarding changes to the program or schedule will be provided. Staff will answer all questions and resolve issues. If additional staffing assistance is required, it will be requested at this time.

Trading Post

The Trading Post will be located at the site A. They will have a variety of snacks, drinks, and more! All funds go to support the Summit Adventure Inc future events.

The Hours are as follows:

Friday 5pm-10pm
Saturday 9:00 am – Noon           CASH ONLY

Saturday 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm

No one is authorized to sell items of any kind. Except Trading Post


Health and Safety

Your responsible for handling your medicine and basic first aid. Any

injuries beyond your capability should be referred to camp staff and medical officers. All

injuries should be reported to the camp staff.

History
The phrase SOS . . .  – – –  . . .  was first adopted as an international distress signal 1908 at the International Radiotelegraphic convention in Berlin.
It was chosen as a standardized distress signal because it could be easily transmitted and understood by people of any nationality. (Germany start SOS  )

First SOS was used June 10 1909 Cunard liner SS  Slavonia was wrecked off the Azores.

UTILITIES, RESTROOMS, and TRASH

• Potable water is available . Units may need to haul their water to their

campsites.

• vault, and flushable toilets and heated showers.

• Plan to pack your trash to the dumpsters at the camp entrance on Sunday morning.
